SESSION MINISTRIES

Administration – Elder Bill Francis (2012)

Purpose: To nurture and develop strong leadership resources for ministry through the professional staff, office resources, and attention to the business matters of the organization, in order to facilitate the worship and mission of the church.

Budget & Finance – Elder Gyp Smith (2012)

Purpose: To develop and oversee the annual budget to ensure the ministries of the church have solid financial resources.

Buildings and Grounds – Elder Jim Crawford (2014)

Purpose: To support the ministries of the church by providing for the maintenance of the church and surrounding property in a state of repair and usability through oversight and direction.

Congregational Care – Elder Sally Kaltenbach (2013) also acts as liaison for diaconate

Purpose: To experience the love of Christ within the entire membership. Providing food at funerals, furnishing automobile rides to medical appointments, helping to those in need after surgery, and sending birthday, memorial and thank you cards are among the many things the Congregational Care ministry provides to the congregation.

Education –   Elder Melanie Floyd (2013) and Elder Nanette Baughman (2014)

Purpose: To provide for the nurture of the children, youth and adults into the Christian faith. Education Ministry includes all adult and youth educational activities.

Membership – ELDER John Rogers(2013)  

Purpose: To spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world; to encourage visitors of this area and this community to join First Presbyterian Church and participate in our missions and ministries.

Missions –ELDER Donny Parker (2014)

Purpose:  To spread the Word of God through sharing of our Christian belief, wealth and time with those who are in need.

Outreach – ELDER Paul Scott Abbott (2012)

Purpose: To communicate to the community the opportunities we offer for spiritual growth and worship and to encourage participation by non-members.

Special Events and Fellowship – Elder DeWayne Nix (2012)

Purpose: To provide avenues for outreach not falling under other committees and to creatively reach out to the membership and the community with invitations for Christian fellowship.

Worship –Elder Debbie Wessely (2014) and Elder jim hiers (2013)

Purpose: To provide dynamic worship for and with the people of God, that is an invitation to the community to come together for the praise of God.
