Rev. Andy Chambers has served our congregation since August of 2013. He and his wife Neile have been married for 18 years. They currently live in Cornelia, GA, with their 4 daughters, Avery (14), Duren (13), Elloree (8), and Hollen (3). Prior to serving FPC, Rev. Chambers served the congregations of Frederica Presbyterian Church on St. Simons Island, GA, and Carrollton Presbyterian Church in a Carrollton, GA.
Pastor Andy brings a passion for mission and service “to the least of these” both near and far. Other organizations he is involved with include: Habitat for Humanity (Habersham/White Counties), White County Backpack Buddies, Inc. (president), Our Journey, Inc. (serving women and children in Kenya). He is also a trained facilitator for Darkness to Lights, Stewards of Children program. To that end, he is currently working with individuals from Lumpkin and White Counties to start a child advocacy center to serve children and families affected by abuse.
Pastor Andy graduated in 1998 from the University of Georgia with a degree in Finance. He worked for 8 years in construction before feeling called to ministry. In 2008 he received his MDIV from Columbia Theological Seminary. In his spare time, Pastor Andy enjoys spending time with his family, riding in his jeep (top-down), college football, baseball, and anything that resembles a beach.
