David Arvold
Music Director

David was born in Wisconsin then moved to Clearwater, Florida as a middle schooler. He attended Eastern Kentucky University, where he met Clair and earned a Masters in Music Education. His 30 year career includes middle and high school Band Director, and teaching classes in Music Theory, Music History and Music Composition. He is retired from Habersham County Schools.

David’s “retirement“ includes teaching music at Piedmont College, Toccoa Falls College, and Rabun Gap Nacoochee School. He has served as a Director of Music at First Baptist Immokalee Fla, Westminster Presbyterian in Buford Ga, and has been serving FPC since 2006.

For fun David plays brass with the North Winds Symphonic Band. He likes tinkering with cars, building and fixing things and helping carry out Clair’s creative ideas. He loves it when either of his two daughters, Kristen 23 and Kasey 20, come home to visit.
